Disintegrate - Remixed is a 3-track EP featuring remixes by Nature of Wires, Vortex Four and Madil Hardis, based on a song from Madil's 2023 album Natural Darkness.
Thematically, the EP echoes the shattered pieces of a broken relationship. Faced with a desolate landscape of memories, the protagonist retreats into a primal state, a cocoon of pain."I'm fascinated by the idea of how people and relationships shape us. A breakup or the loss of a loved one can feel like we're completely falling apart. When we put ourselves back together (or try to), the pieces never quite fit again as before. We essentially become a new version of ourselves. Disintegrate describes that process of transformation, that painful state of not-quite-being, not-quite-existing."
